that probably exists already. i'm sure there's options for that.
there are, but i like the design & functionality of this :tu:
Agreed. It’s a nice gui. Easy to use/understand. Much like Quantum.

Really dig the new release — purchased. Any plans to add the Group feature to Quantum?

Nice plugin for sure. But for me it's to expensive honestly.. I am also have three plugins from Wavesfactory. And now I need to pay 61 Euros for this one? Come one, it's really too much for your customers IMHO...
And off topic question.. any plans to update Trackspacer? Will be nice to see more controls and update the quality of suppression...

With Re-Esser, my goal was to build something far beyond a traditional de-esser. It doesn’t just tame sibilance, it separates it from the tonal with unmatched precision, gives you independent control over both layers, includes 16 built-in effects, and syncs across instances for using your favorite plugins.

I initially thought of pricing it at €149, but lowered it to €99 to make it more accessible. I want everybody to use. And with the loyalty discount, it can go down to about €51. Considering that many plugins that do just one thing often cost €149 or €199 or more, I really believe Re-Esser offers a lot of value.

That said, I respect that everyone has different budgets and priorities, and I truly appreciate you already supporting us with three plugins ❤️

And yes, Trackspacer will be updated to version 3 (eventually )

trackspacer is awesome, i use it all the time. and a 'lite' version of this (sans effects) would be nice (just a thought). but re-esser, just as it is, is impressive :tu:

Great news about Trackspacer! It will be a free update?
Regarding Re-esser. Once again it's nice one..but for example in Cubase 14 we also can do manually select all these things and make it lower. Maybe it's more longer way, yes. But it's here....
Thanks for the information BTW

It reminds me of Apulsoft's Split S which is also great.

It's funny because neither Split S nor Re-esser are technically de-essers but more sibilance separators. This is a better paradigm than traditional de-essers which are effectively frequency specific dynamics. You can absolutely do de-essing with split ess and probably the main purpose but you can also do the opposite and add some more clarity to dull vocal recordings. The algorithm is very good across a whole range of vocals.

I suspect that both plugins are leveraging music information retrieval tech to do this. Spectral brightness and noisiness are two features that can be used. But re-esser is very finely tuned for de-essing.

any chance the Group feature of Re-esser will be added to Quantum?

I have no use for this kind of tool, but just wanted to say, what a beautiful GUI! like your other stuff, really. If it was cheaper I would buy it just to look at ir... :)

really is a nice GUI.

it's basically quantum with a group feature and specialized algorithm for de-essing.

this might be more appealing as a channel strip plugin, ie a vocal chain with an impressive 'de-ess' function, ie designed that way, where the DS is a part of a bigger picture, not the main event. just a thought!

I tried the demo on drums and got some interesting sound design results.

Nice comparison BTW:

I know this thread isn't about Trackspacer, but since it was brought up... Two things I'd love to see is ability to store presets (including a default), and moving the hidden settings attack, release , etc) to the front of the device.

Trackspacer and Spectre have been two of my mainstays for years. Not working on any challenging vocals right now, but next time it pops up, I'll be giving Re-Esser a try. Keep up the good work!!!

I tried this out. A couple of comments:

1) It would be great to have much more usable range in the EQ. The EQ display has a standard logarithmic range, so about 40% of the range is for frequencies under 300hz, and about 70% for frequencies under 3k. That's not so great for EQing sibilance, where most of what we want to EQ is up above 6k. Let's say I'm trying to notch out a whistle frequency from the sibilance - every 1k hz difference is a very small distance on the EQ display. It would be great to have the GUI give most of its range to the frequencies we're actually dealing with.

2) It would be great to have multi band compression or dynamic EQ. There are different sibilant syllables and often some are going to be brighter than others. Having dynamic eq or multi band compression would allow us to e.g. make the syllables that are too bright darker, but not affect those that are not excessively bright, or make the tonal parts brighter except where they're already bright. Most vocal tracks have such a range of different tones that it's hard to balance them out with just static EQ.

3) It would be great to have something to automatically take out resonances (e.g whistles in the sibilance) - would save a lot of time. I get that I could do this by splitting the vocal track and using another plugin with the group feature, but anything that makes the workflow more efficient is good!
