The Play version ( useful for introduce the whole concept ) is quite CPU demanding on LIVE 12.3 and it would be usefule to be able to switch the engines OFF so when on the MIDI Out only we can regain some CPU room, on my I7 6850K with 24 Ram it reach 60% without adding any external VST

Have to absolutely agree, this is crazy in cpu deman. 3-4 instances and nothing goes anymore...alancodger wrote: Fri Jan 23, 2026 11:38 am The Play version ( useful for introduce the whole concept ) is quite CPU demanding on LIVE 12.3 and it would be usefule to be able to switch the engines OFF so when on the MIDI Out only we can regain some CPU room, on my I7 6850K with 24 Ram it reach 60% without adding any external VST
I have tried on Mulab 10 UL, Mixcraft 10 Pro, does not matter so it seems to have nothing to do with daw. And Modalics, the NI Play and Notes have no problems with cpu having the same 4 layers.
Muting the soundlayers dont help, so it would really be helpful to have the options to switch the engines off and only use the midi out (on some tracks) so that at least you can get 8 tracks to work...
And what I have not found is an option to reduce the voices, maybe that would help too.

Agree on cpu comments here, that said this is a lot of fun once you get your head around the UI (1.1 update was very useful for user samples and midi outs). Hope the devs keep expanding on this
