I remember getting Amp farm back in 1998ish and I was convinced it was the end for guitar amps.

I listened to it about ten years later and it sounded like a bunch of wasps in a tin can!

A suite of a handful of plugins with Blue in the name.
The GUIs were mostly blue.
They were from Germany and costed 50DM back in the last century.

First instrument was FXpansion DR008 drum sampler.
First FX was E-Fex Modulator by Dennis Lenz.
Both were around 2004.
Probably was using Tracktion 1 or 2 at the time.

Not sure if this counts, but Synapse Audio Orion. OK it''s a daw but loads of synths and effects.

UAD EMT 140. yes, it's a hw -and- a sw plugin. the pci-e card was discontinued shortly after purchase, next gen quads don't work on many of the latest AMD mobos and plenty of high quality alts these days given this is still not native, but it lived on my template for years and launched a rather sordid history of plugin purchases.

eventually ended up selling all my (hw) lexicons (yes, not the same, just what i had at the time) but for some reason, held on to the spx-90 for a lot longer than imagined.
