Yes, of course. There are just some rare situations where an AI voice isn’t perfect. Shocking, right?Cavey Arrgh wrote: Sun Jan 04, 2026 6:34 pmI've yet to find an unsolvable pronunciation in English, when using native English voices.cryophonik wrote: Sun Jan 04, 2026 4:13 pm and I’ve encountered a few situations where it will simply not pronounce words or phrases correctly or will pronounce them awkwardly (e.g., misplaced emphasis) no matter how deeply I tweak it,
Are the situations you refer to english word/english voice?
Have you tried tricking it with phonemes or completely different word segments than the actual lyrics?

I don't demand too much of it (pop/rock/electronic music), that's probably why it meets my needs, but of course everyone has different needs and expectations.

Forget both of these. You want great singers?
https://audimee.com/
Its a yearly subscription and gives you access to dozens of singers. And they add more almost weekly The value and the realism is unmatched.
Okay, now the downside.
You have to either sing the song yourself or find someone who will. Now you don't have to sing great. Just on key. And that's easy to do with pitch correction, which I am sure you all have.
When Soundcloud comes back up, I'll post some examples.

Synth V isn't made for that, yet. But I tried a quick sketch-up with the current tools.

Well they're certainly better than synthetic voices that you have to wrestle with just to get correct pronunciations.dune_rave wrote: Mon Jan 05, 2026 5:58 amInteresting... I'm not convinced yet.wagtunes wrote: Sun Jan 04, 2026 11:06 pm Forget both of these. You want great singers?

I got emVoiceApp when they had "perpetual" voice licenses, limited but very cool as far as DAW integration is concerned, vst3 plugin. But... now it's subscription only, limited voice choice, lackluster support (I already wrote a couple times for issues and perspectives, they don't even answer). Sadly, none of the products mentioned here work in Linux, not even with Wine...
I guess I could use SV pro with Audio Gridder, but I'm not too compelled of getting into subscriptions, I work on music very sparsely regarding time... I could use it a lot for two days then nothing for two weeks and so on...

What happens, if you sing quarter tones like in Arabic music, can it reproduce it? I am a little skeptical about expressions and vocal conversion tools (considering the pitch of good singers is not robotic and they make all kinds of pitch embellishments).wagtunes wrote: Sun Jan 04, 2026 11:06 pm
