This opens by default as large and I can't get to the GUI size controls. Any tips? Thanks

Edit. It resolved itself by closing and opening so I could see the top of the VST but should it open by default at 200%?

It loads at 100% by default for me (but I changed it to 125% for preference). In reality, it's probably a logic decision based o your environment, screen size, high dpi/retina and zoom settings and so on, so it's probably complicated by a bunch of environmental system factors.

Latency always depends on your system and interface driver.
And the DAW controls all.

No that is not correct.
You are confusing system latency with the buffersize that a specific plugin needs to process for a specific sample rate. That latency is decided by the plugin developer.

Finally had some time to try this. Both preamp plugins sound really really lovely! Very distinct differences between both. Had a really good time running some synth sounds through these at the very edge of breakup. Nice! This is a great gift from Universal Audio. I would never even have considered demoing these but now I guess I have to pay attention to some of the other preamp things.

Got it, you're talking plugin/host latency, which in Gig Performer is reporting both UADx 610-A and UADx 610-B at 86 samples 1.8ms
