Maybe some of the Logic sw synths, now moved to the retro side so you need to use opt-key to find them. But some of those go back to before 2010. Sometimes simple single oscillator synths is all you need.

It was last updated 4 years ago.
Do I sense some sarcasm there? :D Could say same about MODO bass. Its engine has not been updated in like 10 years. V2 just added some more basses.
MODO BASS was just updated to version 2.0.5 in January.

MODO DRUM was last updated in March of 2022.

TDR Nova on basically everything. the original free version has been in sessions since around 2014 and hasn't given me a reason to remove it. the fact that it still outperforms a lot of newer dynamic EQs says more about how little progress some devs have made than it does about Nova.

I guess the oldest ones I use were released in 1999 when VST 2.0 came out. Just very basic plugins like polarity inversion, nothing fancy but extremely low on CPU and RAM.

RBass and RComp.
Renaissance Bundle was released in early 2000!

Instrument I think it is Sylenth1 or Xpand2, not sure what is older, though. Sylenth gets not as much use as Xpand2, though.

Google tells me:
Sylenth1 was officially released by LennarDigital on September 27, 2006, as a polyphonic virtual analog VSTi synthesizer for Windows.

Xpand!2 by AIR Music Technology was released as part of the Pro Tools 8 upgrade, with its updated features noted around July 2010

What about you?
What OS you're on? Windows XP? :hihi:

I still have the SimulAnalog plugins from I like 2003 or so installed, not used them for years though.
Win 7 and 10, prefer 7, cuz prefer lots of old plugins

Well outside of some of Logic's own plugins it's all too easy to suggest a few of the Waves plugins. The obvious ones being R-Bass and R-Comp, L1, the Abbey Road plugins and others like that.

The less obvious would be the Kramer HLS, PIE & Tape. There's plenty of tape emulations these days, but there weren't many back then. The PIE compressor is also a hard plugin to replace. As is Vitamin.
