Just a couple of issues (all opinion and very small points) bothered me:
1) There's quite a quite a bit of tonal inconsistency going on in there at times - most phrases are very traditionally tonal...harmonious, concordant etc and then there are moments in the middle where it is quite harshly discordant indeed! I'm more than happy with both approaches, but always think they need very careful structuring / blending when used in the same piece.
2) Mix overall to my ear is very listenable, but just a little tiny bit ''flat'' in terms of the overall soundstage?
if you want to really break into a new approach...Kukulkan wrote: Wed Apr 01, 2026 1:37 pm I tried to break out from the usual chords and chord progressions
A lot of classical music is composed horizontally rather than vertically...Highlighting and prioritising linear, melodic, and thematic development over time rather than focusing on vertical, stacked chord changes with a melody over the top.
With this method, melodic lines can flow independently and create the underlying harmony as they weave around each other and this can often lead to more thematic, evolving, and less repetitive musical phrasing.
