What are the simplest best one panel vst synths with no hidden panels and menues?

Very good suggestions already. I'll add Twin 3 to the list. But you have some scrolling to do if you have a lot of modulation.

Cherry Audio SEM and Miniverse. Both genuinely one-page synths that sound good. And the SEM is free.
GForce Axxess. Gorgeous sound.
TAL-Mod. One of the best virtual analogs overall.
Invader 2. Criminally underrated.

Any of the Synths from the Arturia V Collection. While they often have an advanced editing section, all of them have a one panel GUI by default that lets you edit all of the important things

The best I can think of are PolyMAX (UAD), OB-Xf (Surge Synth Team), Super 8 (NI) and the NoiseMaker (TAL). What you see is what you get. What are the simplest best one panel vst synths with no hidden panels and menues?

Super 8 is awesome but it could do with a panel where you can see all modulation routings at once. Sounds beautiful though (but very CPU greedy as with most Reaktor synths).Akanomad wrote: Sat Apr 18, 2026 7:42 pmThe best I can think of are PolyMAX (UAD), OB-Xf (Surge Synth Team), Super 8 (NI) and the NoiseMaker (TAL). Free ones:
U-He Tyrell
U-He BazilleCM or the other free 2-osc version
Dexed
OB-Xf
Paid:
UAD Polymax
GForce impOscar
GForce Oddity, Axxess, OB-X, Minimonsta (you can chose to use the extended modulators but can leave closed for original functionality)
Jupiter-4 by Cherry or Roland
Jupiter-6 by Cherry
Jupiter-8 by Roland or Tal or Cherry (except the upper/lower can be consdiered hidden I suppose)
SH-101 by Tal, Roland, or Softube
Juno-60 by Tal or Roland
Juno-106 by Softube or Roland
A bunch of other Roland cloud oldies
SEM by Cherry or GForce or oberhausen
Arturia also have lots with the UI of the original that could be self contained without ever opening the extended parameters.
Knifonium
Softube Minimoog and Prophet-5 have mostly single panel with a few extra setting. Actually the mini ones can be left open so that fits.
NI Monark
Timewarp 2600
Repro-1/5
U-He Tyrell
U-He BazilleCM or the other free 2-osc version

No it's not, people talk it up all the time. I'd say that, if anything, TAL stuff is over-rated. It's good but it gets as much blind loyalty as Reaper. But anyway, that's a bit off-topic.
By whom? Everybody loves it, I've never read a bad word about it anywhere and it always gets multiple mentions in threads like these. Maybe it's under-appreciated but definitely not under-rated.
Not with the default skin and probably not as a "simple" synth, either.
I didn't think of PolyMax yesterday but that is definitely one I would add at, or near, the top of the list.

OPS7 has a better interface than Dexed. You can wait until Black Friday to get it for $25. It's fantastic!Echoes in the Attic wrote: Sun Apr 19, 2026 4:52 pm Free ones:

I own it and I agree. However it is not single page controls like Dexed. In OPS7 there is effectively a tab for every oscillator that you click.Korg Supporter wrote: Sun Apr 19, 2026 11:14 pmOPS7 has a better interface than Dexed.
