Spent time noodling on Minimonsta 2 last night and had a lot of fun. This is why it's hard narrowing down my favorites to just three.

Has anyone compared the SEM made by GForce with the one from Cherry Audio?

Minimonsta and M-Tron have been wonderful for many years, and the latest versions of each are A+.
I wish I loved their Oberheims, but I just don't. Maybe that means I wouldn't love the real thing -- but oddly enough I get along really well with brainworx Oberhausen and think it's great, so I dunno. OB-X in particular I wanted to love, but it's so finicky to program, the envelopes are completely wack, and it just doesn't feel like a fun & responsive softsynth to me.
Minimonsta otoh has always been fantastic, and I still use it regularly.
M-Tron because I love Mellotrons and it's the ultimate software Mellotron.
My third would be Imposcar though I don't use it as much as the other two.

Minimonsta still sounds great here. Never fancied much else. The recent obie fest seems a bit "cherry audio" to me.
They constantly have sales too, I'm.always getting 50% off emails. Doesn't sit well with me.

OB-E is the G-Force high water mark imo..

I don't have that many, so I will just pick impOSCar 2.

After some jockeying, Imposcar3 pulls ahead w/ a commanding lead.
I was wondering, what is the Oberheim symbol supposed to be? I can't make any sense of it. Maybe a job for ai, come to think of it.
GForce should do a V-Station.

I’m hoping they do the Drum Station.

I really really think Axxess is criminally underrated.

Agreed!
Such a great sounding synth and, despite its limitations (which are a big part of its character), very capable.
I actually find myself using it more often than other single oscillator, 101 type monosynths.

Me too. Strip away all that's not necessary and build on what the most important. It's an incredibly useful synth for learning to make sounds with - and you can get surprisingly far with it.ftech wrote: Sun May 17, 2026 6:54 amAgreed!

^ One of my favorite things about Axxess is the random button for the notes on the sequencer. It's got to be one of the fastest ways to find new melody line ideas for arps. I've never seen that on a synth before yet me it's such a genius feature.
Axxess has got to be up there with Polymax as one of the best vst synths ever given away free for awhile. Well with a purchase at resellers at least, virtually free.
