So hard to narrow it down on specific genre and by popularity. Trance is only popular in small circles, same for ambient, etc.
In North America, amazing just how popular radio-style country music is. Stuff like Shania Twain, Vince Gill, Faith Hill, etc. Not Country to me, but clearly I'm not the target audience.
So you could either try simplifying (heavy on the synths, heavy on the vocals, heavy on the guitars, heavy on the other), or cater to specific few (ambient, drum&bass, trance, pop, rock&roll, metal, polka)

classification of music:
0. bad (ex: trance or transe whatever, ambient, techno, rock, most of jazz...)
1. good (ex: choir, orchestration, pop, some of jazz...)
x. don't care (ex: the rest of jazz, celtic, ethnic...)

I think having read the thread now, a mix maybe of the strongest root styles to their forum – the key keeping it as broad as possible, thanks for your input DSP, I think Jazz is a strong contender now.duncanparsons wrote:back on topic - I've always rather enjoyed Prog, so if you want to add that, you might get a posting from me...
Or Funk, Jazz, etc - always popular with those who like them.

That’s more of a rating system skynare,
