I use now mostly VSTis effects and softsynths, and I hear alot about professionals who uses famous soft samplers with much RAM (1 Gegs or 2)computers. Is there for me a good reason to start to work with those samplers, or are vsts just enough for porfessional level work?

A.
With drum & percussion hit samples as The Only exception, I use mostly VST/DX keyboards (FM7, Pro-53, Triangle II, etc.) myself.

In most cases in the music industry, samplers are so important now. It's always a good thing to have a lot of stock sounds available in a sampler. For this alone, the perfect choices would be:

Kompakt
HALion
Vsampler

Sometimes, you might want to try using a sampler to create new sounds with your samples. If that the case, the only choice that matters:

Kontakt

Either way, do you feel you need a sampler at all? And for what purpose? You can go wrong with any of the 4 samplers that I mention.

On the other hand, if you're more into just playing your music without even bother with learning the politics of samplers, check out these sample-playback synths instead:

Sampletank 2
Sonic Synth
Ravity
Hypersonic
Plugsounds Vol. 1-6

Have fun with these options.
