FL 5 SUXXXXXX

New things I like about FL5, and I don't even use it for recording:

- new piano roll tools: arpeggiator, flam, strum, & articulation

- Fruity WaveShaper

- new Fruity Slicer features

- FPC doesn't excite me, but I've used it in a track already

- haven't used automation clips yet,

- somehow, I never noticed Fruity Keyboard Controller until now (assigning a MIDI part to control something else's filter cutoff or sample rate reduction? whoo!)

Keyboard controller has been there a while and strum came out with 4.5...there's a lot of things I like about 5.0 though. But fpc is neat, but I wont use it much, atleast not for drum samples...

no i like FL , but im not satisfied with the new features , the FPC is a waste aswell Fruity Waveshaper , i tought it would be a real waveshaper to create waveforms and sample them , but in fact its just a distortion plugin... the Audio automation is very good , something that everyone was expecting for , but i dont agree with the part of writing the pattern automations on wave playlist (and why we cannot zoom height on pattern list? . And finally the Elastique feature is very good and the granulizer too

if videoplayer gets improved and adds more flash compatibility, now with *elastic* audio, FLS could become sort of *nuendo for multimedia*. it would be a killer if IL adds some surround options for xxl version in future without need to vsti or rewire it into another app?

FPC: didn't waste anyones time it was contracted.

More plugins? for what? akai emulator? WTF? you already could make all that on the other FL´s! Audio clips that automate pattern sequences? WTF is this?!? What were doing Fl developers all this time? Eating donuts? Making new plugins for what? upgrade the basic tools! pattern playlist needs do be zoomed height and to write pattern automations on pattern list not on audio playlist!!

and FL 5 haves a bug with Xi samples , prompts me each time Im trying to put them on FL.

why is the FPC a waste ? it allows you to set up samples in seconds that with the normal grouped sampler channels used to take ages and really discouraged experimentation. I havent even tried oit yet but already Im greatful for it, plus theyll be adding new features as mentioned in their forum.

As for the waveshaper, you obviously dont realise what they are used for but nevermind, youre clearly a teenage newbee so theres plenty of time to learn how to use Fruity if youve got the inclination.

I agree too that the improved Granulizer and and time strtetching is a big turn on

And yeah, the new automation only in the play list is pretty dumb Ah well cant have everything

I've used the automation clips more than any other new feature, and I think they're pretty neat I don't see what's so bad about them.

Also, what would be the point of zooming height on the pattern section of the playlist?

Maybe he wants to zoom out to see all patterns used at one time. Only needed when playing a lot of patterns simultaneously, though..

Do you think ya really know how a waveshaper works? Didn't think so.

The automation clips are what i (and many others i think) ever wanted (besides loop recording )

What i miss until now is the ability to move fx plugs between mixer channels (this is really annoying), or to exchange fruity generators with vst/dx plugs quick - without cut'paste operations of note data.

But my conclusion: FL Studio 5 ROCKS.

Yeah, I guess that could be useful for some people. XOR's demo projects are pretty big, and there's got to be someone else out there who's that much of a freak, too
