How about an expanded FM7 that lets you use samples as carrier/modulator waveforms(ala SY99)and has better filters? That's one that'd have me going :hyper: :D  :hyper:

in order for the upgrade thing to make sense - ie you get more upgrades for your money they need to upgrade 3 or more things

kontakt 2 (surround sound, ram save, more fx) and reaktor 5 (surround sound, more modules)look like certs to me

so im holding out for fm 8 - which can load fs1r patches :D

Post

You already have surround sound capabilities in Reaktor-look at the SpaceMaster surround reverb. It's just that hardly anybody builds for surround.

Anyone know if Komplete Kare has anything offer to NI Komplete 2 owners with Absynth 3 & Battery 2?

Any expectations of updates to the following:
Reaktor
Kontakt
Spektral Delay

NI has been very tight-lipped so far about exactly what we can expect in 2005 from them, but they've said several times on their forums that Komplete Care will be easily worth the price (which they would, of course). Right now it's basically a gamble.

I'm hoping we get R5 and Kontakt2. I'd probably be pretty happy if I got those along with Battery 2 and Absynth 3 for what I paid for the package.

I think it's a safe gamble. Put it this way - If it wasn't worth your while, would you trust them with paying cash upfront in future years? So, at the very least, they'll probably make sure it's worthwhile at least for the first year or two :)

That's kind of what I was thinking too. Hopefully.

Since "NI KOMPLETE CARE 2005 guarantees free and automatic delivery of all relevant NI KOMPLETE 2 major updates for the entire 2005 calendar year..."

...then I would demand that Absynth 3 (which hasn't shipped yet and now it's 2005), be included in the regular (non LTO) version of this.

But, it's not me that NI will have to explain their intentions to - it'll be 100% of the rest of the buyers who buy the non-LTO package during the course of 2005, don't receive Absynth 3, and then wonder why the heck they were lied to.

Unfortunately, NI cut it too close to the wire, and they're going to get burned on this one.

I got my absynth two days ago and wasn´t very impressed.
The reason is maybe, that I already found Absynth 2
not a great inspiration for me.

To me it sounds somehow "clinical", I can make
only use of some pads, I guess, when I take back
the reverb/delay, which is always at the max
(too much for me).

So I´m waiting for major updates of the samplers or so
including new libraries.

i didn't find too much usable with Absynth 2 until I got hold of the biomechanical set of presets and the Brian Clevinger banks up on the user library site.
Now I use it all the time. Oddly enough I've been using it for basses -- nice rich tone, low cpu, so I can pile on the fx. I also have a favorite dark piano I use a lot to work things out from the Oktober Rust user library

does NI send an e-mail following registration of Komplete Care and then ship Absynth 3? I registered KC 05 a few days ago and expected at least a welcome aboard e-mail and so far nothing.

From what they've said, after they verify your mailing address they'll ship it.
Due to the logistics issues with the launch of both A3 and KC,there has been slow response as far as mailing the A3 upgrade goes.Check your registrations and make sure you're registered, and that your mailing address is correct. If you haven't heard anything by the middle of next week, call Michelle.

Yeah, I waited over 2 months (from the time I received e-mail confirmation to the time I received the package) for the Battery 2 supplement... so don't hold your breath. I think NI's packaging and distribution departments consists of one part-time guy who only works the 4th Thursday of every month.

Im starting to think the same thing. Its been a month and still no A3, altho to be fair i was told my copy shipped out on the 6th jan-05 after emailing NI. Im expecting it within the next 2 weeks, and then i'll get worried if its a no show.
