The quality is dead on.Speed-wise,there's a checkbox to uncheck fast bounce.I only uncheck it for Kontakt, for everything else fast bounce is fine.Fast bounce is very fast,a couple of seconds for rendering a part a little over 100 meausures long. However,Slow bounce is longer than rendering an effect, but since Iv'e only had to use that option with Kontakt it's not an issue really.v-12 wrote: How well does it convert midi to audio? I went from S2 to S4- The improvements were astounding. I think the workflow is much better now, it is very stable, no hassle copy protection, has freeze, and Cakewalks support team is very responsive and willing to fix any bugs that may appear. Between S4, Reason, and FL studio I have everything I need except time to use it all

Wow, just checked out that Podium. It sounds very good, and well put together, and I like how they are constantly updating. It's reasonably priced too somewhere in the $120 range if I have the euro/dollar exhange rate right. I wish I had heard about it sooner.spoonboiler wrote:before you totally take the plunge, give Podium a try. And really give it a chance too, because although it is a bit different seeming when you first start it up, it was one of the quickest learning curves I have experienced. And this program is REALLY solid, and very flexible. not only that, the developer is a great guy who continues to make improvements all the time. If you do try it, and need any help, give me a shout, I would be happy to assist.
Cheerz.

Sonar 4 PE is a great product, with tons of loyal users. Come on over to the Sonar forum, and check it out. Most people could add a thing or two to the Sonar wish list, but it's a good solid performer, and well supported.

To be honest, if you're already using Traktion (which is how it appears from your first post), hang on until NAMM; it might seem like a pain, doing so, but you wouldnt want to find yourself in the position of buying something else then wishing you'd waited and updated.
Sonar's very capable, but as always, the workflow doesnt suit everyone. If you havent tried the demo version, I would make sure you do.
And hang on for the T2 demo at least, for comparison...

I like Sonar's ability to turn off the synth in the synth rack. It releases the memory and the cpu.whyterabbyt wrote:To be honest, if you're already using Traktion (which is how it appears from your first post), hang on until NAMM; it might seem like a pain, doing so, but you wouldnt want to find yourself in the position of buying something else then wishing you'd waited and updated.

If T2 had that, I wouldn't even think of buying S4PE.
