youre so full of shit BONES, how many of those do you actually use?BONES wrote:HOST: Traktion
DRUMS: RM-F, DR 005, Drumatic, etc
SAMPLER: sfz, HOPEkILLER, etc
SUBTRACTICE SYNTH: Synth1, polyIblit, TriangleII, FreeAlpha, etc
ALL-PURPOSE: Crystal
EFFECTS: Kjaerhus Classic, MDA, SIR, Digital FishPhones, etc
What more could you need? That is a seriously powerful set-up, especially when you think about how many banks are available around here for many of them. How stupid are we spending money?
No, just Boney boy contradicting himself again. Last week he slagged of every synth under the sun saying he can do it all with WaspXT, no he's singing the praises of stuff he never uses and he claims he deleted from his PC after 5 minutes of trying.TheWall wrote:trouble in paradise?
If you play live and make one edit projects, its for freeJazz Franco wrote:Throw in 50 bucks for EnergyXT and you're in heaven
I'm not saying I do, just that you could. Clearly I have no need of any drum stuff and I would use WaspXT for most of what the V/A's do. Plus I don't need no sampler, etc, etc. But that's because I paid $50 for ORION a few years back. Things have changed considerably since then.Kriminal wrote:No, just Boney boy contradicting himself again. I thought you knew enough to understand that your soundcard does not in any way affect the quality of your software rendering. It may have some impact on your ability to record but if you don't need to [instrumental electronic] then it is not a factor. Ditto for speakers - my "monitors" were cheap as chips and they do a great job because I know them so well.Spe3D wrote:What is Release Quality? and how do you do that with a cheap sound card - n Cheap monitors etc?
Like any sampler, its quality is totally dependant on what sounds you put into it and is therefore no better or worse than any other. Every sample-set I use is freeware or bundled and guess what? I make albums for release on proper labels. I had no idea you were such a snob.SFZ is quality - with its own AISO host - now what sound card? What free sound set etc?
What’s a Snob got to do with anything?BONES wrote:I thought you knew enough to understand that your soundcard does not in any way affect the quality of your software rendering. I used to do that with a $50 Creative card. Like I said, if you know your system's sound you can do it with anything.Spe3D wrote:What’s a Snob got to do with anything? It was a question asking to define Release Quality – you still got to mix it and master it – you cant do it blind, that’s what a render is – it lets go of the card, you got to set the sound up right though - with your ears!
So you're telling me that you couldn't make a decent quality track with the stuff in the list on an average PC with a sound that you know well? If that's the case then you need a big fat reality check, mister.Wrong - you just have to spend, no matter how cheap, it is not free is it?![]()
