umm I'll listen to the clips in a mo.

Unlike many of you, I prefer his later albums. I mean, 'Bricolage' is a bit boring and much too repetitive for me. 'Permutation' however is great. So is 'Supermodified'. Those 2 are probably my favourite. 'Out from Outwhere' is good too, a bit different, more electronic sounding, but very good too.

My favorite song by Amon Tobin is "nightlife" on the Permutation album. Pure genious.

I swear I never get tired of listening to that song...

Anyway, haven't heard the new album yet..

I'm with you origami, I like the later stuff too. My fave tune is 'Golfer Vs. Boxer', it still kicks my ass everytime I listen to it. And 'Searchers' is the only piece of music to give me nightmares...literally. One night I kept waking up because I kept hearing that song in my dreams, creeped me out.

Joxer, 'golfer vs boxer' IS definitely my favourite song by Tobin. just amazing, and it has served me many times to make new tobin fans.

ok I've already listened to most 45-second clips and they seem very very promising actually. I can't wait to buy it.

I think you'll dig it. I can't help but wonder what some of the gamers who've never heard any Tobin before are going to think of the music as they play Chaos Theory. I once used 'Get Your Snack On' and 'Golfer vs Boxer' to test out a new PA system our AV Dept. put together, people didn't quite know what to make of it, lol.

Amon Tobin's brand-new album came just today to my mailbox.

Amazin album! if it wasn't because his previous albums are already amazing, it would have surprised me...but it's not a surprise that Tobin's music is great.

100% recommended.
