For some reason clicking on the download link just takes me back to the main plug-in page that the download link is on. Basically it's on a never ending cycle for me. Anyone else have this problem?
I'm sorry this post wasn't about techno.

yeah I get the same thing in both IE6 and firefoxFunkybot wrote:For some reason clicking on the download link just takes me back to the main plug-in page that the download link is on. Basically it's on a never ending cycle for me. Anyone else have this problem?
I think its a cookie or activeX thing.. I have both of them blocking the betabugs website
I mean any activeX and/or cookie content from the site

That could be the problem, then. I don't know the technical term, but I know that we use some sort of embedded linking system so that you can't directly deep-link to the plug-in download. So, if your ActiveX is turned off, it may just load the same page again.
[edit: I said "ActiveX" but I have no clue if that's actually what it is... as mully mentions below, it's the php thingy that I was thinking of.]

this is a php page..... but I honestly don't know why it isn't working for you... it's working for me in Firefox.... (ActiveX is just IE, isn't it???)

Well, it's a fine line isn't it.. I suppose we could go Deutsch with MunsterChorus, and given the strong German contingent here (indeed in BetaBugs itself!), that wouldn't be so bad. However, your assertion did cause me a giggle!aMUSEd wrote:Boo cowards :)

Munster isn't a German word at all.....
Monster is the same as in english
and Münster is a city (I'll be in tonight cuz of a Hot Water Music gig I don't wanna go to)
and what'S up with those MonsterCables

a 'Münster' is actually some sort of old church (with a high bellfry and originally the church of an abbey)multree wrote: Münster is a city
