Too many to mention. Maynard James Keenan is one that comes to mind though.

Well, I could mention people like Jarre, KLF, Fluke, Rollo, Underworld, John Williams, Hans Zimmer... But seeing as I never worked with, for or under these guys, calling them mentors would be a bit of a longshot.

So, my personal mentors are the people I have worked with over the years that have in someway helped me improve and grow as an electronic musician wannabe:

- Terje Saether, my long time musical partner and friend who always gives me inspirational input
- Kristian Sigland of The Crest, who taught me more about songwriting than he'd be willing to admit
- Mikael Omlid of Lunaris, another longtime friend and musician who taught me not to fear the geetargh
- Marius Skogsrud, the guy I worked with making music for radio commercials: helped me push my boundries stylewise and put aside my musical prejudices
- All the people I've recorded, produced, remixed or otherwise been involved with over the years: Rigmor, The Accolade, Vidar Nord/Inner Motion, Stigma, The Crest, Lunaris, Eijra...

Oh wait, that was the draft for my Emmy Award acceptance speech... :hihi:

Cheers,

Arne S.
