Yeah I like that about space designer. TBH I can't fault Space Designer for a great sounding reverb.
What I'm designing is something that can sound realistic or totally warped.
The user will have an envelope volume control over the IR and I think it would be good to have a graphical display to show it too.

pfft! We all be using playstation 4's to write our music on by then! With convolved emotion engine [tm] reverbs that make you happy or sad at the wiggle of a joystick!Ocean Zen wrote:To be honest it probably won't be available for at least 2 years!
Actually, wiggling your joystick can be quite an emotional experience anyway...
PS Ben, if you're reading this, make sure this idea gets archived, if sony even get close to my idea I'm suing their arses off...

a perfect delay would be a crossover between ariesverb, glaceverb one one hand, Sir without latency on the other hand, and every features of Ambience without a metallic sound !
Something you can use to be realistic, and with just an automation, a weird texture as Glaceverb or Ariesverb can do.
A midi Learn, of course, a panning position, cpu configurable.
Maybe a convolution-resampling option ? (i mean, importing an impulse, applying enveloppe, modulation, etc., and saving it as a new impulse, not as a preset...

Are you saying use a straight IR at the start of the reverb and then the rest is just a small section of the IR repeated with a volume fade out on it>
Yes in away, think of the first little part of the IR of an amp attack Converted to a sample and used for granular sampling of the reverb tail, or instead of following attack, use some kind of cyclick resampling of the IR.

I would like a reverb that sounded like I was outdoors. Either on the city streets, in the mountains, by some trees, out in the flat desert, or by a canyon. The OutdoorVerb Vst Reverb if you will.

There are some outdoor Impulse respone files in Space Designer.
I suppose any Impulse Response style reverb could have outdoor possibilities.
