to me, modular systems are a completely different thing (in terms of beauty). i'd prefer the moog system 55.

I really like the Korg Triton LE, I think synths look good in brushed metal and this one just has the right balance of controls too with a very nice display at its centre.

To me, the most beautiful synth would be one of these: Cameleon Machine 5000

It's a dedicated system that is optimized to run several instances of an advanced, future version of Cameleon5000.

I've always loved the look of the Prophet T8. It's like a analog synth version of a grand piano.

I always had a fondness for the Prism, by Kinetic Sound. It's too bad they only made two of them before the company ceased production. I always thought they looked cool. I wish I could have played one of them, if only for a few minutes on a sales floor.
