I'm excited about the new library. I'm hoping it can replace my Trinity Rack. Remember, it (the upgrade price) is still $800 cheaper than Colossus

Very excited about the library. Always good to have more sounds.
So, I'm having trouble figuring something out about Kontakt 2 from the info on NI's site: can it be placed as an insert effect on a track so that the convolution effects in Kontakt are applied to the track on which it is inserted (ala Pristine Space, SIR, etc.)? Or can you only apply the convolution effect to samples loaded into the actual instrument?

Not if it competes with the other non-freeware convolution reverbs. After all, I already own Kontakt 2 (via Komplete Care). If it sounds as good as Pristine Space or other non-freeware convolution reverbs I don't yet own, without exhibiting excessive CPU usage, why not use it? That will save me money I would otherwise have to spend on a dedicated plug.visilia wrote:not to sound blunt or anything, but inserting some super heavy sampler instrument to use it's convolution effect sounds rather silly.
Then again, if it's no better or worse than SIR, well.... nevermind.

Can you use it as an effect then? - I didn't see where it says that.

That's very nice - would it be worth it for UK users like myself to get this upgrade from here or would we end up paying more in tax and shipping than if we bought it in a UK site (or euro like direct from NI??)torhan wrote:AudioMidi.com has the upgrade for $149 ($20 cheaper than NI's site).
