Pffft... Who puts drums in the first bar of a song anyway? And Tracktion users are experienced with inserting a bar of silence at the beginning of their songs.

I also found Ruction on KVR whcih is simpler than dk+ (and more expensive) but looks quite tasty too.

yes, you have to follow the rules. if you put drums in the first bar of your song, you are obviously an ammateur who doesn't know music from a hole in the ground.

sometimes it's almost better to be hair off. depending on the style of music you make. i play my drums via a midi keyboard controller or my old school yamaha dd-5 with midi. the reason is i get varied velocities and just layer and layer them. some styles it can sound better to be a hair off. some people prefer an almost all hardware set up compared to an almost all software set up because the get too worried about how it looks rather than how it sounds. i can relate to that. been there done that. i just found the FXpansion DR-005 drum sampler and think it's nice. it's free and you can load the samples you want, not the sample that it comes with and only them. it's free too. http://www.kvraudio.com/get/25.html

What do you all think of Reason's Redrum or NN-XT with a drum patch (especially if you have DrumKits Refill)? It's not a VST but fine with rewire.
