You may use Papelmedia SF2 commercially, but you are not allowed to sell the SF2-file itself.

I assume that when you buy the SF2 from papelmedia that it should be ok. Otherwise they sell something that cannot be usedmmdejonge wrote:Maybe I'm interpreting things wrong, the site also says

I'd drop Papelmedia a line just to be sure.
I bought their SF2 set (it's great b.t.w.).M'Snah........(aka HansM) wrote:I assume that when you buy the SF2 from papelmedia that it should be ok. Otherwise they sell something that cannot be usedmmdejonge wrote:Maybe I'm interpreting things wrong, the site also says

That can be pretty funny, since the Papelmedia GM soundfont that they are selling is a bunch of free soundfonts you can found at Hammersound.net for free, but with a diffrent name... compare their "Clavicembalo" with the one under´s "Campbells" one at hammersound and you will have an example.M'Snah........(aka HansM) wrote:I assume that when you buy the SF2 from papelmedia that it should be ok. I'll have to check that out. I got it for other samples then the Clavi, but if it's true what you are saying than that's a bitmarce wrote:That can be pretty funny, since the Papelmedia GM soundfont that they are selling is a bunch of free soundfonts you can found at Hammersound.net for free, but with a diffrent name... compare their "Clavicembalo" with the one under´s "Campbells" one at hammersound and you will have an example.M'Snah........(aka HansM) wrote:I assume that when you buy the SF2 from papelmedia that it should be ok. I did see that also, but assumed that that meant selling the SF2 itself, not the usage of it...not likely to use them SF2's myself, so I'm not too worried one way or the other.mmdejonge wrote:Maybe I'm interpreting things wrong, the site also says

I didn't know thisM'Snah........(aka HansM) wrote:Yes, I knew about the copying of SF2's into Papelmedia. And I also bought it. I don't need to use it commercially yet, but IMO it's stupid to SELL samples that cannot be used freely. But we don't have to go into that in this thread.
Also is, anyway, one of my prefered, really very nice voice, for back support is great, for sing in front, well, you know that phrasing with samples is not easy, but is nice also.I didn't know this![]()
Feeling a bit foolish right now![]()
