Thanks for the suggestions. My wife has read this thread and is not impressed.....fortunatly our inability to agree on custody of the dog makes divorce unlikely this week

I'm not sure the exact price but maybe you can get Sennheiser HD 580 for £100. Grado SR80 is around £85 as far as I remember and is highly recommended on that forum.

Had the same problem. Got a Beyer DT770. Marriage saved.
Just that I hate tracking guitars through phones

Well, if you're going to upgrade from the SR-60, instead of the SR-80, go for the Alessandro MS-20. Better bang for the buck.
