the answer is yes. you just do it a different way. i think that's only to separate the ideas of audio vs. MIDI.

I think it's just cause Steinberg sometimes doesn't know a single thing about useability. Heh, not that I dislike Cubase though, heck I even work teaching it.

The funny thing is that Magix Music Maker does have fade handles on MIDI Parts while Cubase SX doesn't. Heh, guess you need something advanced like MMM for such features, eh?

Actually, Magix isn't at all crap. I reviewed it and was quite impressed with it for the price they're asking. I mean sure it still feels a bit like Ejay and it's likely not something I'd ever use. But it does have VSTi, VST and DX support with a decent mixer. So you could actually use it as an alternative to programs like Orion, Project 5 and FLStudio.
