Wow, is this rhino? Those glistening sweeps are amazing. Never move to Ohio cause you won't ever find a job, and I NEED THAT AND I NEED A JOB TO GET IT

Anyways, About to try out the MdA synth now. I will also give the other synth a try (suddenly forgot the name). Thanks for the help, KVRers kindness knows no bounds!

Yes it is .. and the Fl3a is an FM/subtractive hybrid

And it rocks, too.

Oxe FM (http://www.kvraudio.com/get/839.html) is a good place to start, with all the controls on the same page.
It has some features like keyboard scaling and fixed frequency that are missing in some other FM VSTi.

From those i've used, Sytrus is the best for me.

No mention of FM Heaven? Wow, amazed. ;) Phantom is another fm synth.

What do ciggies have to do with synthesis?

But interesting though that FM7 is one of the oldest, and still the one to rule them all. ;)

Errr, you have a point there... I suppose. :?

Then again... it's probably the Jack Daniels talkin' again.

My favorite FM synth (but it is capable of so much more) is Rhino.

Having said that, I'd say to look at Toxic and FM Heaven (both well under $100) and Oxe FM Synth (free), and whatever other free synths are listed in this thread.

I have the Fruity DX-10 (based on the MDA DX-10). - it's "FM lite" to me, compared to the others.

eJ, Rhino, or Sytrus. If you want inexpensive but cool and don't care about multipoint envelopes, do eJ.

If you want samples as a sound source or care about skinability, go for Rhino.

If you want really good filter options, quality onboard reverb, unison, plucked string synthesis, and a compact GUI go for Sytrus.

Rhino, Sytrus, Operator, FM-7, Toxic, DX-10.

I have an FM fetish :nutter: :help:

I vote for Sytrus...very cool synth
Kind Regards:
