I guess I'm a bit used to the sound on this tune by now, but I think what you might possibly be getting at is his habit of using 'subtractive eq-ing'.
I've collab'ed with him and he's used this method on our tune but I didn't like it - I thought it detracted quite a lot so after he'd left, I boosted certain parts of the eq to get more clarity. I guess that's down to different ears though huh?
Bleedin' 'ell, I wish his account would get activated, I'm speaking for someone else here.
But then, the lad's 21 years old and I've known him for... *sharp intake of breath* ...21 years!
So I guess I know him well enough to comment on his behalf anyway.
