If you are on a PC you should use one of custom scripts made by fellow KVR members
 Marc and Markleford.

There is a lot you can do with these like:
- adjust velocity response
- setting up the Fret Down Action (none, note off, all off, last velo, fixed velo)
- setting up the Fret Up Action (none, note off, all off, last velo, fixed velo)
- creating fixed velocity for tapping style playing
- alternative tunings
- Transpose up to -/+3 Octaves (up or down)
- muting scenarios
- triggering notes from the mute bar
- loading scales on the display
- integrating foot controllers
- settings for dealing with repeated notes
- "True Staccato" setting for Trilogy users
(no more hopping 3 octaves up and down - JUST PLAY  )
- muting open strings
- legato mode
and the list goes on.......

If you do not use one of these scripts and think the EZ is great you are in for a very pleasant surprise.

Hey Andrew
Good list there :-)
Can you or one of the other guys put a list up like that on the EZ websites ....perhaps with a bit of a description for each mode....(Like for Hammerons ...or pulloffs ...use this mode ... To load scales that light the fretts ...do this.. etc etc...)

I think it will really help beginners to get a full understanding of what the apps do if they can see it all in one easy to understand list on a webpage.

I have the EZAG for allmost a year now and can confirm that you will need one of those tools. I personaly use the script from marc and can confirm that it is very good and offers a lot of possibilities.

Without that the EZ is pretty useless to play midi expanders.
