This thread interested me as i wanted to know the same - i'd both my conckers to run this plug:

http://www.soundtoys.com/soundtoys/crys ... index.html

It's RTAS / Audiosuite only.
I have XP and can think of NO way to run it...

Now, are you saying i can use T2 on a PC and use RTAS? I don't think so. Some backdoor clever lad would earn some money if they made a wrapper...*cough* :D

The description sounds like any one of GRM Tools 2 Delays plugin/various OHM Boys stuff/PsP Lexicon etc.,I wonder if it's all that unique.

course you can...
Could you point to where this is mentioned on Mackie's website?

Digidesign never licensed anyone for it. A cleanroom
interoperability project, in a country where that's still legal, would be the only possibility.

Unless I missed something...

yes, you are missing something...

My answer MUST BE bullshit!

Therefor it was joke - I was pulling the leg of anyone who is naive enough to still believe that there might be the slightest possibilty... :P

It's unique as nothing else it like this pulg in vst format - it's the eventide patch from the real unit costing mega bucks.

jens - disappointed in the joke as their is a possibility of someone writing a wrapper or a hack/emulation to get PTLE to run on XP

Post

erm... well PTLE runs on XP buddy

im sure you need hardware for LE which im not going to fork out on, so though it will work, - it's at a cost. For a cheaper price another option is getting a second PC with windows 98 and loading a copy of PT free!!

Post

well the plugs aren't that supperior that someone needs to get a new/old PC they'e superb if you're running ProTools but if not there's enough cool stuff in VST Land

Post

Agree - VST has the everything in every flavour i can think of...but it's that dam crystallizer plug thats makes me go

:hihi:

Funny in a give a shred of hope then snatch it away for your own personal satisfaction kind of way... or something.

And digidesign is into the whole get a strangle hold on your market and hold on for dear life thing, so we won't be seeing any RTAS/TDM -> anything ever unfortunately.
