I bought Operator and have found it to be a good synth. It should cost $100, not $150. It's been a good synth to mess around with. Not visually fancy, but very intuitive and has been a good learning synth. Anyway, no way it's gonna be free with 5.
Can't wait for the upgrade.

I'm another plebian that made it into the 500Meffy wrote:I'm common folks -- downright plebian -- and I'm in the beta. =^_^= It's inconsiderate of the Abletons not to put more errors in there for us to find though. Too many betas neglect to provide enough bugs to go around. Let this be a lesson to you devs! Don't make your beta testers feel useless, write worse software.
And I agree about feeling useless! What is the point of beta testing something that is this close to perfection
Damn - there's no way I could go back to Live 4 - or anything else, quite frankly - now that I've played with Live 5

OK, so I managed to crash Live 5.0b6 and send a log file to Ableton, so I feel like less of a charleton now

I've had some trouble involving Absynth 2, but haven't been able to narrow it down to a reproducible state. Will have to see if it still happens with beta 6.

Wow
I reported the crash log to Ableton a few hours ago and they have already fixed it and released v5.0b7. Extraordinary! These guys really know what they are about!!
Alex/Ableton says that beta 8 should be the one to go public
and they seem to be coming daily now ... so any hour now ...
