Not "tarnce" but trance: It's not what I expected. I figured from the name it would be ambient bollocks-y stuff, a branch of what used to be called "space music" or "newage" (ick ick ick). Nope.

The one thing all the "trance" music I've heard -- bad and good -- has in common is that I can't imagine anyone going into a trance listening to it. Too active, too noisy.

You need to see a trance night.
Imagine hoards of trainee estate agents, still on their pill honeymoon, stomping up and down in 2/4 time with their eyes closed.

Of course you'll have to go somewhere other than the UK, because having pandered to the lowest common denominator all the clubs are closing now that the estate agents are bored with it.
