WOW!
Really that's the only word I can think of when describing these bass samples. Absolutely fantastic! The real test of a sample is how it inspires you musically. These samples have inspired me to pick up my guitar and jam again and it felt good! And I have a bass guitar sitting right next to me.
I highly recommend the UBK to anyone looking for realistic bass sounds!

Hi All
Okay here is the official word.
We had a number of requests for this so i have done up a Limited Time Bundle Price for ManyStation VSTi and the add on UBK Soundset Package.
Valid from now untill August 15th 2005.
It works out to 15% off, which basically means you get UBK thrown in for $10 - $13 dollars instead of the $29.99 the library originally costs.
Prices are as follows:
ManyStation & UBK for ManyStation
Regular = $129.98
Bundle Price = $109.99
ManyStation and UBK (Crossgrade from WusikStation)
Regular = $109.98
Bundle Price = $92.99
Also to be fair I can honor it for anyone who purchased either product (ManyStation or UBK) in the last month with a special payment link ... So if you baught UBK say and you want ManyStation I can send you a link to pay the special price difference. Just email me in this case.
Also anyone who baught Both Products already in the last Month at full price can email me their receipts for a credit to a future purchase from us.
This should be pretty fair to all our Customers then.
Info and Purchase links are now Live on our website
http://www.manytone.com
And i like to link common threads so... There is also a thread on this in the Market Place forum here:
http://www.kvraudio.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=1268151
This above thread has further price details for those of you that own UBK now and want to get ManyStation in this special.
Thanks and Enjoy!
Paul

The audio demos sound amazing (even through my pc speakers).
Is it easy to make UBK sound realistic e.g. trills, fast runs, slides etc. ?
How about note bends ? Pitch wheel control for "real" instrument work usually sounds crap (at least im my hands
Will almost certainly order for this price though !

Well, if you have trouble making the UBK sound realistic, there'll be tutorials for it available...basic channel wrote:![]()

Downloaded UBK and ManyStation and set all of it up.
After work tonight I'm going to have a play... I was to see if I can make a complete tune out of all of this.

HI
Thank you for a rare treat - I have a LOT of sample disks, many of which puport to have realistic acoustic bass multi's but your set really is unique in delivering the goods.
Thanks a lot.

That is great hear ....considering that there is no Acoustic Bass in the set ... hehe
It is a Customized Fender Electric Bass Guitar that was sampled for this set but it is not an Acoustic.
But I think I know what you meant ..... Real Bass sounds done well.
Thanks for the encouraging words!
btw - we do have some Real Acoustic Bass sets in the works here

Er, don't think you answered the question though - I also would like to know if note bends are workable using this beastieGregjazz wrote:Well, if you have trouble making the UBK sound realistic, there'll be tutorials for it available...basic channel wrote:![]()

Workable Via Midi... Even more so if you use the griels filter trick in ManyStation to filter the tones.
griels says quote:
Quasi-Formant modelling, to allow more realistic pitch bending... Like a sort of manual 'STRETCH'. Basically I held down a bunch of notes and swept each sound with bandpass filters to find the formants (the dominant frequencies). Then I notch filtered them out, and allowed this layer to be pitch bent. Finally I added another, quieter layer where I accentuated this formants with EQ, but allowed no pitch bend. Seems to work somewhat better than standard pitch bending, as the formants are preserved. And as the formants have been found manually, it can be a little less hit and miss than automated formant based pitch shifting.
Delayed vibrato - set up an env linked to LFO speed, in turn linked to oscillator fine tune.. Sounds best in conjunction with the previous technique.
The post is here for more info and examples and if you are a ManyStation owner the bank is listed there but is a dead link at the moment ... so email me if you want the bank and are a ManyStation user:
