MDA's subsynth does dividing suboctave distortion, same thing it says in the Octaver description. But I chose another one that just sounds excellent)."
I agree....lots of great modulation effects,
plenty of decent distortions...only ONE truly

TbT's Octaver makes a great noise, but was designed like a pitchshifter (says so in this old thread. When you go, scroll down for a hidden effect from Bram at smex).
The one I'd go for is ConcreteFX's Suboct (get it here if you don't have it). I'm not actually sure what it's doing, might be a pitchshifter, but holy moses can it destroy things in a hurry.
