An internet acquaintance of mine got to play it for 45 minutes after store closing one night. He said there was nothing like it.

Man, that is truely gorgeous!! Looks like six manuals, huh?? That leads me to a side comment about the keyboard options we have available for midi. Most keyboard that are built today have the knobs all located on the top, and you can't stack them together like I would like to.

BTW, my teacher (who is now a tenant of mine) has a wonderful organ recording collection. I've been listening to quite a bit of E Power Biggs lately. That guy was amazing!! He traveled to many historic organs and made some excellent recording on them.

Pipe organs are wonderful things, but Luray Caverns' Great Stalacpipe Organ claims to be the world's largest musical instrument. At 3.5 acres in extent, it sounds like a pretty good claim to me. Note that this is a percussion instrument, not a pipe organ.

There is only one of these on the planet. Erm, IN the planet rather. I've visited it several times but was not allowed to play it.

I totally agree. I miss that.

something closer to home, the Wurlitzer Organ at Blackpool: http://www.girdwood.co.uk/britorg1.html

If you want pap on a stick, Blackpool's your place.

Out of interest in regard to organs, do the concert halls acoustics take the organs into consideration, for example is there a concert hall acoustically designed to specifically house an organ? it's just that a mall doesn't sound like the best place to put an organ.
