ah thanks Dfusion. I didn't know anything about midi thru (I mean, I thought that was for other purposes). So what should I do then, following my asking policy...
connect midi out (FL) midi in (Virus) and Midi Thru (Virus) to midi in (FL) ???

Yep that is correct 
I just did a test with my roland MC09 since i also have had this problem.
And now i have connected midi in & out to my MC09 via the sequencer and it works like a charm (Mine only has midi thru via the setup on my synth)
I am also pretty new when it comes to hardware setup on computers, but i have to thank you for bringing this up since my problem now got solved
BTW. What kind of virus do you have?

My Virus is an Indigo I. I'm very very new to hardware synths...I bought it a month ago, and unfortunately i haven't had much time to use it this month, so I'm 100% a newbie regarding hardware synths.
