Well, I've been working for two weeks straight, so I've been a little bit lighter on my postings, although I have been monitoring ST the whole time. I finally got a day off today from both of my jobs.
So I look, and we now have over 700 users! That's awesome, but we now need to get more content. Music is encouraged, and I hope more people will upload it. Now that I've got some time, I'll dig out the rest of the Matt Helgesson stuff and post it soon.
Get the word out! We need more stuff, especially music!
Brent

Koolkeys, glad your back, was going to pm you anyway, but I've been thinking of a brilliant idea.
The idea will take quite a long time to accomplish, but it will really get people involved.
The aim of the idea is to group some mastering vst's (and effects) ofwhich all of them will be free... making a complete set of mastering assets to the person who's interested, into one polished torrent.
The torrent will be layed out in a nice folder, labeled *STs mastering pack* with all the .dlls within that folder.
Now, the process which we would need to go through to get this would:
A - First need to submit and ask lots of free software publishers for permission for their particular mastering vst(s)
B - Then put them on sample torrents, having a poll of how high the user rates them.
C - Then finally, making the pack for all.

Well, it's not a bad idea. I do want to get some developers involved. We'll come up with a plan and try to get something going.
I will be sending one email to everyone to let them know especially that we welcome music at the site.
We've got so many members, but are running a bit low on stuff. So, let's get to it!

I'm suprised you haven't linked the help page to the tutorials koolkeys which I made... I thought they were better than the 15 step-text guide..
Actually as I recall now, you told me how to do it, lol, I just have been so busy.. I'll do it tonight when I get back from pub

For people who can't wait, you can see how to add torrents via a flash-tutorial with the following links:

Sorry about that. These past couple of weeks have kinda ripped me of any energy I had, and ST wasn't the first thing on my mind.
If you don't get it, I will add them in. If you already have an idea of how to add them, go ahead. Otherwise, I'll be on it!

I will be uploading another pack soon too, I'll call it the earth pack actually, that's a good name.
It'll contain recorded samples such as birds signing in the rain.

Your site rox my sox.
I don't have to download wav samples one at a time.
Proper slickin' website.
Your website will get bear traffic due to the demand and popularity for and behind it.

Yeah, Brent, I was wondering about that as well. How are you dealing with 955.26 TB of bandwidth??desbest wrote:Your website will get bear traffic due to the demand and popularity for and behind it.
