Nice. You should switch out the the EQ-5 for the new EEQ-2. I think it will give you better results.RunBeerRun wrote:I haven't tried the opto yet, I'll have to run it tomorrow and see how it does.
Been using feedforward compressor and 5-band eq a lot, eq is gold on bass guitar because I can boost the mids and it takes focus away from the low end, leaving the bass drum hits to shine thru.
Module Series EQ, Comp, & Filters.

Sorry to pester you, but there is a strange little problem with Cubase SX 3 that I kept meaning to point out to you: with your thinner module plug-ins, the Cubase preset menu is almost completely obscured:

I can usually access it by carefully clicking on the remaining space, but it's almost impossible with the Sub-1. I guess these are just thinner than any other plugin, not sure if there's much to be done about it.

Hey Midiworks, not meaning to cause trouble here, but are you sure your personal screen settings aren't set a bit dark? Because these plugs are clear and easy to read over here.
Cheers.

Cheers.

No way am I switching! Lol the 5-bander boosts the heck out of the midrange, and obliterates everything else.
I'm not an actual eq-man, so I just use what is fun. But yes the newer plug might do better for precision.

Ahh i see. When it's skinny the menu drops down. They should look into that. Both cubase & chainer. They should be able to take anything in my opinion. Actually, that's not totally true. Reaper is quite amazing and would be a relatively easy transition from Cubase. I keep my eye on it.
