Some time ago, I wanted all free too. For now, when I see the quality of the plugs and the involvement of people like Bootsie, I don't mind paying a (not too high) fee to help them going on.

Same here. I like the donationware model, myself, but I suspect that it's a miniscule portion of users that actually donate. Although this is a possibility the developer accepts by offering the plugin on this model. It's a shame, because even a moderate number of totals users donating a small amount of money would make an encouraging thank you for the developer. I don't tend to buy too many plugs, because the quality amongst available freeware is so high, but I'll always donate if a plugin starts showing up in a few of my projects.stanlea wrote:Some time ago, I wanted all free too. Same here. I understand that some people are broke. Students, out of work, third world people,...
Those who earn money like me, let's pay a little. That's good for everyone. Obviously, we will not change the world, but it's a participation.

Personally, I love this pay-what-you-want-ware idea! I wonder how that's turned out for ddmf...?

He told us that the average amount of income was something like 10/15$ per product, but I don't know how many people did buy.

Don't rush the Bootsie man : you know it will be worth the wait, and EpicVerb keeps on improving at each new beta release
