Get simplon for sure, if it's going to be of use to you. I've opened up One thinking i didn't need any extra features - but just found myself remaking the patch in Twin later.

forget simplon, get volcano 2 instead

Yeah, volcano 2 is very simple to use and you can easily overwrite the default preset to give you a basic filter to start with. The whole point with simplon is the ease of use and uncluttered interface but I never open it, I always go for Volcano 2 instead.

Personally Volcano 2 is my favourite FabFilter plugin. It's a m a z i n g what you can do with it. Subtle chorus, flanging, brutal compression, brutal filtering and weird Haas effects. When used with a modular host or one with flexible routing options, only the sky is the limit!

Cheers!

Do FabFilter offer any discount coupons? I'm quite keen to buy Twin 2 but I'd like to shave a little off the price if possible. If anyone has a coupon code or anything like that I'd be very grateful.

Thanks,
Colin

This is a great sounding synth. I need some time with this GUI though.

This synth is amazing! I am buying it.
Presets are great and really show you the possibilities.
Almost pissed my pants when I heard that one piano preset.
Also the GUI makes you actually feel like it is possible to learn sound design on your own. It's like a confidence booster synthesizer :)

Is there more mp3 demos available other than the only one at the fabfilter website??

My attention-starved daughter is preventing me from reading this whole thread, so if it's already been asked, do twin and twin2 peacefully co-exist on the same machine?

I've only get the demos installed, but yes, they do appear to happily co-exist.
Architect, the modular MIDI toolkit, beta now available for macOS, Windows, and Linux.

yes they do. And just to be clear, I whole-heartedly recommend Volcano 2: it is my favorite effect these days, as well. Simplon is a fast insert, but Volcano2 feels like it can do anything! (and gross beat :) )
..what goes around comes around..

Yes, they peacefully exist. I've got Twin and Twin2 loaded on the same set, so yes they exist without problems.

Same here... Volcano2 is one of the most versatile FX. Gross Beat has looked very interesting... I haven't tried a demo yet, but probably will soon.

No problems on Mac or PC. Also Twin2 has vst3 support.

Volcano 2 has some terrific presets also..

FabFilter does some bundle deals also. I love Pro-C
