Amazing plugin this... 8)
StringZ2 is like a real musician. :-D

Take an instrument (a real one, not a VST), record yourself playing the same tune three times and compare the recordings... They'll sound different.

This "feature" of StringZ2 makes for a very lively performance.

Are you saying it introduces hysteresis? Chaos is a great thing.

From the tales the guys are telling, I'd say it introduces hysteria... :hihi: :hihi:

Not sure you're interested, but on this CD I collected my first five entries

and if you really hate yourself, track three on this one http://www.macvibes.com/CDSLEEPE.html is the sixth...

Lol

No honestly I really like this synth. Like someone already said it is really musical, and the sound is unique and very nice indeed once tweaked and the velocities played and corrected just so. Very playable unlike samplers which I'm quickly losing interest in. This physical modeling stuff is really the way of the future imo.

Just a shame I didn't really start delving into this until last days, but feel I'm gonna use it again as it has some majestic sounds with the right reverb etc.

I just sat down and made a song with this. I went to export it and cubase crashed. The session crashes when I try to reload. sad
Don't F**K with Mr. Zero.

That sucks. But check the folder in case there's a backup (.bak) of the project.

Yeah V'ger, you're right of course ... it is quite an instrument, and I'm sure I would have had a lot less stress had I not decided to go with musagi as the host! :hihi: ....
If I had used FL, I might not have been able to have more simultaneous sounds, but would have been able to load up more instances, and would have been able to split a part up so that one instrument setting was not having to cover too wide a range .... FL also has better track EQ than musagi.

So, stress, and joking apart, I will be hanging on to StringZ2 .... Some beautiful natural tones can be achieved with it!

As for musagi? I think faced with a less cpu intensive plug, it would have behaved better .... not bad at all for a free host, and can load audio as well as VSTis .... the instrument wrapper has a few interesting features and fx which I didnt use, just a shame the controls are so small. Piano roll takes a bit of getting used to, and only deals in discreet note lengths ( multiples of 16th notes I think ).

Anyway, I'm still interested in doing OSCs in different hosts .. so despite mrblitz deciding I should choose, I am still gonna try something other than FL, madtracker and musagi :) .... suggestions welcome! ... right now i'm thinking tunafish or buzz!

jamesOtucson ... cheers for the submission! :)

Heay Ah_Dziz,

Your comment just reminded me of something, I've found that the Samplitude that came with one of the issues of Computer Music magazine can record audio incoming.

So if you can, try it(if you have it) or try something like Audacity to see if it works.

Basically, after you have a track written in Cubase, run Audacity and press record and then press play in Cubase and see if Audacity, or Samplitude if you have it is recording.

And then render the mp3 of course.

Oh, if you already know this, then you'll tell that I'm behind many people here,
and that I'm still in amateure mode.

Hope it helps, I'll be trying this one my self.

I think this will stick to the OSC rules but just incase don't tell tattiemannie I would about this,k? :hihi:

Try my current host - MU.LAB http://www.mutools.com/downloads.html
When you get used to interface simplicity you're gonna love it! It's very stable thing. Free version is challenging in its limits, but my first 2 or 3 OSCs were completed in MU.LAB FREE. You might take a look at examples http://www.mutools.com/mulab-demo-sessions.html to see creative and very flexible audio and MIDI routing.

[edit] I sometimes feel that I'm advertising it way too many times :D

Currently I'm working on my track, so there's a hope it will be finished before the deadline 8)
