I decided to check out the site to see what I could find:

Oscillator 2, FM modulation, ring modulation, sync, Mojureshonenberopu
Four types of filters, distortion
2LFO (Synchronizable host)
Arupejie - with computer (host sync)
Tenpodirei (host sync), Stereo Chorus / Flanger with
Legato mode, portamento
16 Polyphonic Sound
With 128 preset sound.
Thorough work lighter. And use SSE. (Celeron1.4GHz with sufficient practical at the same time you play a dozen.)
Automatable (VSTi only)

Turns out I was wrong about it not using SSE - that's why it doesn't work on Win98 any longer.

* CPU Friendly, SSE Technology, (You can run about 10 process on Celeron 1.4Ghz)
* Automation on VSTi

OS : Windows Vista x86 (Developed on Windows Vista HP SP2)
* He says that v1.08 may work in WinXP/Win7, but not confirmed yet.
Host : v1.08 is not tested on most DAWs
Plugin Type : VSTi 2.0
Sampling Late : Optional
Restrictions : Synth1 is not a multi-timber synth.

are there something leaked?

Higher polyphony
at least 32, maybe 64 voices polyphony.

a bit more aiming at the "nord lead" modulation
smoother filters (but please include a mode, that reactivates "classic filters" if you include that)

Browsing presets:
preset window would stay open while you look for a preset
preset preview here is a suggestion: Single click to preview a preset, double click to load a preset.
preset list change if you click on them instead mouse-over

registry info in an "ini" file, in Synth1's folder - instead of using the registry

86 banks are filled here (there COULD be an indicator for those banks that are empty. For example, empty banks could be more transparent.)

If you get DragonSagoth's 85 banks set ... and you are on windows 7 64 bit, then except editing "Synth1.reg" like mentioned in the read me file ...

change also the "key" line to :

Code: Select all

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Daichi\Synth1]

(remove the "space from "synth1" after y...
something happening with the forum engine and is adding this space by itself)

Thanks g200kg for translating our requests and thanks DragonSagoth for the screenshot. I see that the preset window is alphablended with the synth itself, unlike previous versions. You can alphablend things in Win98, but some programs use the newer LayeredWindows API which is available in XP and so on. So it maybe more than just the SSE that's changed. Regardless, it's an awesome synth that just keeps getting better!

Oh yeah, and thanks Yudaidhun for clearing up my earlier post.

You must be running something newer than Win98 then. When I open the preset window it's not blended and if I try to drag it, it closes the window. Doesn't XP allow you to blend any window, or is that Vista? I'm pretty sure it's part of the operating system - but in Win98 there's no such thing... remember way back? lol
