Peter - IK Multimedia wrote:Oh, and I should probably point out that there's an update with better DSP (some derived from AmpliTube 3), preset naming, recording and reamping, and more for the iPhone version of the AmpliTube app: http://www.amplitube.com/iphone
sounds good too! a bit of an improvement.. haven't any cash in the bank to try some of the new extras tho- i think the graphic eq might be first on the list.
I am getting an audio 'click' every now and then (every 30/40 seconds perhaps)
and that is with a very basic setting even (no fx) and latency on low.. a bit annoying.

I guess the direct import was the most requested feature, but the reamping is pretty unsung. Is anybody using it?

Hi Peter & EVERYONE!

Amplitube & iRig have been amazing on my iPhone. Love it for band rehearsals! I finally have a video of me using it at rehearsal. Keep in mind I overdrive everything on my preset. Sorry, it's the way I like it, hahahaahahaa.... I play around with it lots, but this is the sound I need for my band; loud and aggressive. A killer rig right there in my pocket. How cool is that???!!!!! Hope ya's dig the video.

Great job!! And, as a guitarist, I'm also in awe of your ability to share the space and not turn yourself up "to 11" over everybody else. I bet you'll enjoy something that's coming up which it seems you could really get a lot of use out of... hmmm ;) Oh and you've almost tempted me to steal your video for YouTube hehe!

Post

Yeah, we all stay at 11, so it works out good, LOL. And what's coming up?! What's coming up?! You can steal for YouTube... let me know where ya post it.... I will drive some traffic to it :-) Was fun to make. JD

Not the official licensed Marshall plugin I been praying you get!!! ??? ;-)

This was fun to watch, hearing iRig in action and seeing the way your band rehearses. I bet the neighbors don't suspect a thing!
If every KVR member wrote one review a year we'd have 1340 reviews each day!

Post

Hey glad ya liked it. Yeah, it's a great way to rehearse, especially in an apartment, hahahaa. We get on the real gear for a couple rehearsals before shows. Nice thing about iRig is I import my bass player & drummer alone and can also go over the tunes myself to the file in Amplitube for iPhone, hahahaa. Where was all this stuff 20 years ago when we REALLY needed it!! I am looking fwd to trying my iRig in a LIVE situation. Gotta be sweet! JD

...much better than what you want, I think. AmpliTube iRig related, but I think it is better.

Also note that we'll be doing a giveaway on our Facebook page, starting sometime before midnight CST so keep an eye out. Also, those in a region of the US will get to partake in a nice giveaway too. http://www.facebook.com/ikmultimedia

Quick question to Peter - IK Multimedia. Is audio copy/paste (to other apps) and track trimming on the cards for the multi-track function in the Amplitube app?

Post

There isn't a rock solid set of features on the table for the next version since 2 (and 2.0.1) just came out but I'll make sure these are forwarded and update you guys when I have any information.

Post

Thanks for the quick response. If these two features were implemented I would have everything I require for mobile music making using Amplitube and Nanostudio (there is more on the subject of audio copy/paste in the Nanostudio forum).

The only other minor criticisms I have about the current multi-track function is the lack of a count-in feature and the difficulty syncing the metronome for multi-track recording. Don't get me wrong, the multi-track function in Amplitube is more than useable as it stands, but with a few tweaks it could be terrific!

I understand and this is definitely one of the ways we get great feature feedback and requests. So, thanks! It is appreciated.

Any chance IK is working on a floorboard with an iPad dock? I change amp channels with my feet, guys, my hands are a little busy LOL. I just need one expression pedal and a few footswitches :-D. It'd be like a POD XT Live but the iPad would be the brains! Of course, it wouldn't be as rugged. Some ass bag would inevitably step on it and shatter the screen :-/
Meh.

There was a video of barefoot AmpliTube iPad control early on. But yeah that's not a really great idea for continued use and life of your device :)
