Ok, so I actually understood something wrong and needn't have waited :D. The second song is uploaded now.

@IrionDaRonin
Thanks! Well, probably your choice was right because your entries (and especially From daydreaming...) are really nice!

Cheers for the submissions guys and welcome here TommyBear :)

Hi guys, sorry I've not been around for a while .... so much going on, sadly not enough time of late to dedicate to music. Really excellent to see so many entries for this comp, I will have some free time tonight and look forward to listening to them all .... might even manage to get my votes in this time.

Anyway, just want to say a big thanks and well done to V'ger for keeping OSC going strong, and to everyone else for maintaining a good flow of original tracks. I will attempt to submit a track before the deadline, but it's not gonna be easy as I have made very little progress.

Best of luck folks.

Hi All!

I finally found some time to participate in my favorite contest!

My work: Steplton - 9:00 PM

Unfortunately, the ending is a bit could not fit into three minutes :)
EDIT (about time length): I mixed up the rules of OSC and Month Contest

About a synth: my old Athlon 64 X2 4200+ not so well digests Turell N6, - in turn Turell N6 very well digests my processor and asks additives :D

Therefore, most of the tracks of the project is bounced, and all drums - sampled.

DAW: Reaper4alpha.
EDIT2: 15 x Tyrell N6 + 13 sampled drum sounds (shortcircuit1 used for playing samples)
Track FX: AnvidaSoft DX reverb ligth, ReaVerb, ReaDelay, ReaEQ, ReaJS: Liteon/BassManager, Brainworx bx_solo, TAL Dub III, Voxengo Stereo Touch, MAutopan, MCompressor, ReaComp, MLimiter.
Master FX: ReaFir, ReaComp, MStereoExpander, MLimiter <, Voxengo SPAN, s(M)exoscope>.

Nice going, that's 20 tracks which is very decent for this powerhungry synth. :)

Cheers Tattie, nice to hear your still happy with how your baby is doing despite it opening a can of 'sampling worms' lately.. 8)

Hey all, here's my second (and definitely last) submission:

evo2slo - you are the blade

Host: Cubase 6
Plugs: Molot, SonEQ, TimeVerb, LoudMax
Tracks: 24 instances Tyrell

For this one I only used presets (all tweaked a bit) from the Tyrell patch contest. I tried to use all 41 of them but that got way out of hand (my computer was ready to kill me), so I brought it down to 24. This song is dedicated to all the sound designers out there!

edit:
Here's the presets I used in order of appearance. The one I voted first place I ended up not even using...

I finally got around to listening to everyone's submissions. There's a lot of good music! What's everyone using for drums?

Edited my post with the patch list. Many are mixed so low they are probably hard to spot. More felt than heard...

I've really been enjoying listening to everyone's tracks - as you say, a nice amount. Quantity and quality!

Everyone's using Tyrell for everything. (unless I'm missing something)

Post

Yes - Tyrell for everything!
In fact I just used some layered drum sounds from the presets, mainly because they were already so good

There are some truly AMAZING tracks submitted this month - is this the highest number of enties ever?

Hey Evo!

You used Harpsinette? Lol that was my shot at the Tyrell preset competion, I feel honoured!! Well things didn't go as planned as I had a Tango Tyrell for my second entry but now I sit with a very painfull middle ear infection (for now everything sounds detuned and out of tune)and flu (no and this is not a result of my Tyrella the bellydancer entry!! LOL)so I can't get it finished  . Anyway guys one more day to go!!!! V'ger remember our presets suggestion for after the competition? Have we come to a conclusion yet for the next Synth for the next OSC?

Well done to everyone for their excellent submissions!! Can't wait for the results :hihi:

Regards

Yes must really try to collect the presets, will make a call for it in the voting thread.

And not yet decided synth for next month, voting closes in about 18 hours.
Doc Jon wrote:is this the highest number of enties ever?
No, last Synth1 competition had 25 and the Noisemaker one 24, so I think Tyrell 3rd most popular unless a flurry of late entries. But there's definitely a thread to be seen there with those synths.. 8)
