Yeah, go ahead and lose the "small" version. I never use it, I've even deleted it from my plugins folder.

Thanks for the feedback, we're thinking this because it just seems like a redundant thing to include, as most people want the entire thing and don't want to be bouncing back and fourth between large and small.geroyannis wrote:Yeah, go ahead and lose the "small" version. The small version was for people who just wanted to do quick tweaks, but in this day and age of processing power and the fact that MixControl large takes a very small fraction of CPU consumption, the small version just isn't necessary.cain wrote:yeah never used the small one either

I'm not 100% sure if that is serious or sarcastic, but if you are a fan if the small version, please let us know. As it is, we have received a large amount of support for the interface that we are working on currently, and if you have some suggestions, we are more than open to hearing them.MaxSynths wrote:Right...DNR Collaborative wrote:The small version was for people who just wanted to do quick tweakscain wrote:yeah never used the small one either

Guess I'm the only one not too hot for the new interface
I liked the old UI quite a bit, it's very clear where everything is even if the knob always felt a bit too small to me. The new one is like screaming at me with all the gradients, plus my eyes can't seem to find a focus especially with the EQ section. Maybe I just use the current one too much

So, if we were to keep both the original and the newer interface, you would be a happy camper?softska wrote:Guess I'm the only one not too hot for the new interface![]()

I like the bottom half a lot. Very clean and ordered nicely.
The top half is incredibly cheesy though.. the large bevels and huge gradients look really off-putting. Like those people who put the giant body kits on their civics that make them look obnoxious and cheap. So it is weird for me to look at this GUI.. because the top half looks really cheap.. and the bottom is really sharp and 'pro'. It is a head scratcher of a design to me.
I'd like to see the bulbous/large gradients disappear.. make them more subtle such as in the bottom half. There seems to be a lot of dead space in the top too.
I'd like to see other color combinations too.. but I'm sure that wouldn't be hard to change on my end as long as the skin is not in the dll itself.
All in all, I like where it is headed - graphically - however.

Absolutely; though honestly I'm sure I can live with the change, whatever makes more sense at the end of the day. Make the plugin sound worse we'll come hunt you down thoughDNR Collaborative wrote:So, if we were to keep both the original and the newer interface, you would be a happy camper?

Well, TBH, the 2 different versions had different uses for me. I used the small version as a channel strip of sorts and the large version for the final mix. It won't be a tragedy if small gets dropped, but if there is a way to keep it alive, definitely do that, as I think it's a GREAT selling point to be able to cover track and bus/final plug-in territory with a single plug-in and it's smaller variant. Me and Reason actually had a good chat about that at one point, that it should be noted as a feature, as you buy one plug-in but actually, technically speaking, get two that have slightly different uses.
Just my 2c of course
Cheers,

Or maybe perhaps instead of two version make both interface accessible from the same plugin (a switch)? Kinna like what EQuality does
