No, I want to set it manually, and I can't. Some automatic is moving it even if I set the LegAttk knob to 0.
I've also tried other settings which could affect it, unfortunately found nothing..
Hmm.. I just checked for myself, and if you go to all of the relative articulations (smooth, accent pp, accent mp, accent ff, adagio, short notes, pizzicato, bartok pizzicato and harmonics) and set the attack knob to 0 for each of them, then no matter what I switch to, the attack knob remains at 0. I think you just need to remember that all attack settings "stick" to the articulation you are currently using.

It's not THAT amusing for someone who hasn't gotten used to Kontakt yet.

Oh and I was wondering, does anyone have any examples of Concert Strings II being used in a pop/70s type song? (disco). I might have to get Concert Strings II AND Session Strings Pro for that kind of thing.

Yes Kirk, I had more time today, and worked carefully over my piece, you are right, all is absolutely ok. I was wrong.

What is little bit hard at the beginning, is understanding all dependencies concerned with sometime mixed articulations.

I'm very sorry you've spent your time.
Thanks!!

Just a post to thank Kirk for his excellent support answering my questions, even though he's undoubtedly busy right now. :tu:

The more I look at these libraries the more features come to light. With all this flexibility and quality, it'll take a while to get to grips with, but it'll be well worth it.

Just one word of advice - I wouldn't try to learn all the features at once - take your time and explore the features as and when you need to use them.

In Diamond, the 2 Solo Strings folders are shown as having __ at the front of the folder names.

Is this just to get them to appear at the top of the Browser? Or is there a deeper reason? I ask as when I extracted them, in Windows 7, there were no leading __.

Also, every extraction (right-click the .zip file, select Windows' Extract All function) popped up a warning window that "the folder could not be encrypted". I continued anyway and all seems OK. Any idea what this warning means and why it occurs? I've not seen it when extracting from .zips in the past.

What are the pros and cons of concert brass II when compared with other libraries in the $500-$600 range? From what I hear, it's excellent product in general, but can anyone offer any specifics regarding how it's superior to, for example, CineBrass? The greatest concern I have is that there doesn't seem to be a unified combi brass section for absolutely everything.

Sample MIDI files

Kirk, would you make the midi files used in the demo section of your website available for us "KH users" to study? I know that some developers are reluctant to share anything, but others are okay with this.
Thank you

I could definitely use a combi instrument in concert brass 2, even if it didn't include tuba

Kirk, please put that on the wish list

Hmmmm so there ISN'T a tutti Combi instrument in Concert Brass II. I beg your pardon, but isn't that a bit bad? Unless you mean to say that I'd have to load each individual section. Still, recording an entire brass section playing together is going to yield different results that the recordings of individual brass sectionsS. Don't most sample libraries have tutti combi brass?

Exactly what response/ error / message do you get from Service Center?

it works OK here:
- - I did it outside of Kontakt by running the Service Center standalone
-- and did an offline Activation 9as my DAW is not Intrenet-connected)
-- my Service Center version may not be the latest (which I think may have bugs)

Beginnings are always hard. I have just opened the Kontakt pdf manual, typed "save" in the search field and you wouldn't believe what has happened.

I have the latest Service Center and installing Kontakt 5 went without a hitch, no problems with Pop/Rock Strings being seen
