SDRR is a saturation device, offers four different modes. One of it is a "desk" mode, one is based upon modified fuzz boxes, one based upon tube preamps and one is based upon plain digital "saturation".
Great little critter for mere pocket money. Though I do recommend to read the manual (it's short) to understand what's going on with all the editing capabilities.
Though keep in mind, it's not(!) aimed to be a console emulation. It's a versatile saturator.
NLS for 99USD?
Man I hate being broke.

Gosh, Compy, rather spend those 99$ on cabbage and potatoes... SDRR and all Klanghelm plugins in general top Waves IMHO. It's not about the price, it's about the quality.

I only eye this due to the TG12345 mk4 - and I tested it already. Liked it. For 99USD, it's okay-ish - I'm stuffed with ton of other Neve and SSL console type plugins already.
Lower would be better, higher and it's a no go for me. Especially considering WUP.
BUT... knowing that Waves plugins are regulary on sale... I can wait until the next bonus round. Other stuff has higher priority.

Are you really sure TG12345 is worth it man? I think it... err it is not, to say the least. Abbey Road plugins are mostly not worth it, to put it mildly. IMHO, of course. I found out that their plugins are just nice GUIs slapped on a very standard DSP. They could be your cup of tea, but not nearly as close to an emulation as they could be.

I can agree on that in terms of the Abbey Road plugins (which I think are massively overpriced!), hence why i said "the cheaper the better".
Wouldn't pay 300bucks for any single plugin. On top of WUP. Reduced plus WUP is a different topic.

Thanks Mr. Griffin! Appreciate that. I did remember hearing about that but didn't know that there was a desk modeled. I'm assuming its an original design, considering Klanghelm's style. Does it remind anyone of any existing consoles by any chance?MFXxx wrote:http://klanghelm.com/SDRR.htmlAC222 wrote:Did I not get the memo or something. I thought I was familiar with every console saturation plug out there. What the heck is SDRR? I'm sure its great but I don't even know what you are referring to.
Never used it myself, but the klanghelm gets a lot of positive support across various forums.
Well worth a demo no doubt, not sure why I never tried myself although I did like their DC8D Compressor when it was in beta if I recall.
I did buy Klanghelm's compressor but wasn't as blown away as I expected based on the rave reviews. That's not to say I thought it was bad in any way. On the contrary the DC8C is quite usable. I'm sure this is a great tool. Thanks Compyfox also for following up. You guys rock.

What? Our Winter was very non-linear too. I don't know what's so special about all this summer business?hibidy wrote:DOH!dalor wrote:Our Summer is very non-linear. Weeks ago it was 35 Celsius and sunny, then it cooled down and raining the entire weekend.
