ALL sample libraries can be prone to clicks in the low end (a revelation I just came to :hihi: )

I agree with all you say here. What I have tested and found to be true though is that U-He analog synthesis sounds smoother and less aliased. In particular, I have compared Omnisphere to ACE and Diva, and both ACE and Diva have very noticably smoother-sounding sync sweeps, whereas Omnisphere's sync sweeps have very noticable harsh aliasing. Some people prefer aliasing and there's nothing wrong with that, but the fact remains that U-He synths sound more like authentic analog than Omnisphere in my opinion, and in the past I have posted numerous comparison recordings to back up this opinion. I use Jan Hammer-style polyphonic sync sweep a lot (ala Oberheim SEM and Memorymoog), and find Omnisphere does not deliver that sound, while Diva not only delivers that sound but does so literally perfectly to my ears. Nevertheless, Omnisphere is one of my favorite and most-used synths, but not for analog sounds, as ACE and Diva fit that bill better. I use Omnisphere for sampled sounds almost exclusively (same with Trillian).
To me more analog=better not always. today i mainly need samples saddly good quality samples are still pricey. when i know how much i can spend and i need upgrade my computer if going buy some stuff even omnisphere is such a thing :(

K, first disappointment

The piana's and lectric keys are pretty hit/miss. I mean some of them are so boring. However, with just a tad bit of creativity this can be remedied :D

Works so well though so far........doesn't even tax studio one that much :o

I expect at least 9 more disappointments with Omnisphere before this time next week. and you shipping the product to me by that next monday.

Whenever I'm tempted by a new synth I open up Omnispehere and start exploring. I'm always reminded how deep & beautiful it is and the urge to purchase a new VA evaporates.

The only problem I have is between the installation, and getting it setup just right template wise in reaper, now I have to go through the viddy's and learn it. There are only 24 hours in a day.......(I know, quit posting and git learnin' )

Templates? I just add as many instances as I need on separate tracks in Reaper and off I go. What am I missing?

Each instance will chew up more RAM, no? If you only add one and use the multi feature you should save resources, have less window clutter when working (just switch between instruments in Omni) but in Reaper this will take a little planning to make it really easy to work with AFAIK. I have low RAM and so with Trilian I am usually only using one instance at a time myself, maybe two tracks of a multi at the most.
If you have requests for Korg VST features or changes, they are listening at https://support.korguser.net/hc/en-us/requests/new

hey i've been using Omnishpere for quite some time now, and i can say that for 500$ you can create ANY sound you want, literally any. Just take a mic record something and process it though 10 000 of gear that have stored in 1VST. Think of it thins way, you would give 500$ to what get a synth like Korg x50 or Radias, or any other make - and yet it wouldn't compare to Omnisphere a tiny bit. Dont get me wrong i love Korg! Am a korg Worshiper to put it clearly, i own the x50. Anyway not to get off topic here xD, am barely scratching the surface of the program and not only and getting lost inside the search of the sound i want, i also get much more out than i expected.
Well generally i personally love the program, i'd suggest you to at least download a cracked version just to try it out or a demo and if you like it go for it, but dont forget the library is around 50GB so make sure you go over the synth as much as possible so you can see what THE BEAST is capable of :D

You can do it that way, OR you can have up to 8 sounds in one instance of omni. It's foldered and has all the fx I might want (like alloy) all set and ready to go. In reap, you can show/hide tracks easily so that doesn't get in the way and then all the sounds are in one gooee (or "g.u.i." :hihi: )

I have one for rmx, one for reaper and one for tril. I believe tril/omni are fairly interchangeable? So it really depends there. Very handy though.
