Some developer who spent this thread telling us there was need for developers to moderate their behaviour because they only post when its relevant replies "Hey, lots people who use the X plugins bundle say our plugin Q is good, try the demo"

Well, this thread was pretty much left unresolved, so its no surprise, but after comments like 'I recommend other stuff as well, so its okay if I recommend ours' its a bit ironic to basically see a 'you're looking at X, so try ours' type comment, justified with 'oh but other people mentioned other plugins first' from that same person.

I mean this wasnt even a 'what plugins should I try' thread, this was specifically asking about one particular bundle. The presence of other non-affiliated people saying 'yeah the bundle is good and if you're interested bundle Y complements it' is not a viable excuse for a business-affiliated poster to pop up and say 'people who like X bought our plugin so try it'. Not even 'try it too'. No opinion on X. Just the pimping.

........ Each time I worked with them [ ie Soundtoys] it was a real pleasure, and nothing can really replace them imho, as I'm a total Delay fan and have tried dozens of units.

This is why I said than some other units proposed, including the one I suggested for people who are PC or 64bits, should be seen as complimeting them, much more than replacing them.

Yeah, calling one delay plugin in a bundle awesome' and 'different from the plugin Im pimping' isnt really an opinion on the bundle. Its mentioning the delay in the bundle in passing, so you can mention your delay and tell us the delay in the bundle is different from it.

But since I own SoundToys, I'd looked in that thread, and lo... there you were, using a thread explicitly about something else to promote your stuff. But since you want me to, I'll keep a closer eye out...

If one was looking for opinions on various types, or brands, of effects I think it would be fine to discuss your products then. But if the OP was discussing one brand?

As for approving the hunt, well you cant stop some hunters to make what they want to populate their virtual life. Its a free forum. Opposite to some persons, I'm not the one worried to try to dictate and impose some personal POVs and rules to the community.

well, actually you are. that personal 'POVs and rules' happens to be 'developers can promote their stuff indiscriminately, however and wherever they want at KVR'

obviously, your motives are financial, and thus ultimately, anything you say is purely out of self-interest. mine are neither, hence my suggestion of at least two compromises, both of which you notably made effort to dismiss.
