"Demo version cannot save presets or DAW state."
Got suggestions for bargain synths below €/$/£ 20 ?

I'm gonna spend some time with the demo, quite unrestrictive

For that price you will get mostly SE and SM stuff. Ancient Superwave stuff, as well as Solcito's Supersonico and Arido, which are more interesting and unusual in my view.

I don't know if this has been mentioned, but I got the entire Korg Legacy Collection for $100. I think that comes out to $20 a synth.

I'm sure someone has mentioned this in 11 pages but "the mangle" is going for about that. A granular filter being sold as a synth. Pretty nice actually. The grain windows are fantastic. soft and round. Camel style.

Red Dragon 2, doesn't even cost €10
A total no brainer
Only 32 bits, but got more OSC's and great sound presets, than most synths out there...

When the thread was started €20 = $25.15 = £15.85
Now €20 = $22.67 = £15.91
Except USD gaining a bit of strength the conversions has stayed more stable than I had thought

I hope the dev took some inspiration from somewhere, as GUI of v1 looks horrendous
