Yes...

audiovet wrote:Oh im sorry, that was a bit complicated for you. My mistake. See your lame act of suggesting something irrelevant was also in itself a lame act of insisting. One and the same.
If would be irrelevant had you not obviously misunderstood the meanings of words. Suggest and insist are NOT synonyms.

And by the way, calling someone else "lame" is not a particularly well thought out counterargument.
audiovet wrote:lol man your comprehension skills are superb. Never did I deny I was complaining, but for a reason.
Probably better than yours - that second sentence makes no sense whatsoever.
audiovet wrote:Then may be the two neurons in your head will make the connection of what I and plenty of other folks here are actually upset about.
According to your post, having to provide an email and this therefore invalidating the claim that this offer is not in fact "free". You offered nothing beyond that in your initial post, so you are either lacking in facts and assuming we are mind readers, or moving the goalposts post-statement.
audiovet wrote:yea unlike you I don't come on internet forums to make friends.
You would be wise to come here with that intention though, as there are plenty like you who have come before, thinking that you can take on the world and throw insults in place of reasoned argument - most don't last long.

No they are not. Way to go little buddy. It's called a sequitur.
You're lack of understanding the use of the sequitur is beyond irritating. You're lack of realizing that the correlation IN THIS CASE was due to your lack of understanding of what I've been talking about all along.
So...how do you explain this?
audiovet wrote:your suggestion is the insisting.
You rail against me for supposed lack of understanding, yet you have quite clearly said "Your suggestion is the insisting."

You can use as many Latin words as you want, but it doesn't change the fact that the verb 'to be' with a noun either side of it is used to denote equivalence. The only 'sequitur' I see is one word following the other.
audiovet wrote:You are so g*d damn thick that you continue to argue about nothing. Please shut the f*ck up already.
You would do well to follow the forum rules rather than throw insults around like that. I know you have quite clearly stated you don't come here to make friends, but taking it to this extreme is doing nothing for your standing as a future forum member.
audiovet wrote:Well thought out argument??? You aren't even in this argument, you're in your own head. Lame is a word, it means something. I use it when the meaning fits.
Considering the quote above this one, I don't think anyone could reasonably think that you were in any way involved in any kind of two-way disagreement here. It is argument only in the sense that you have lost control.
audiovet wrote:lol you think I'm here to create an academic discourse with you?
Of course not. I would never think academic when thinking of any discourse with you.
audiovet wrote:yea ok, blah blah blah.
I refer you to my previous comments.

Just got my serial faster than royal mail :)

Post

I got mine, put it in my music folder and will get to it, I lost my umph on this right now. Installing it is one thing, I'm use to pita installations...in fact to the point of some clear observations in my patterns. When I do a fresh install I seem to install less and less and I can think of several times where I installed a plug because I used it on one or two songs that were not finished and needed it for those songs only.

This started becoming more clear with no-brainer deals from audiomidi (none of which are installed today), I would start thinking about whether or not I wanted to use those plugs because it would mean installing them again next time around. I have samp pro x suite, I have killer native plugs and samp always knows where to look for them making fresh installs a snap.

So this time around it's no big deal, take my laptop over to my studio and have at it...but what about 2 1/2 years down the road when I get a new machine? Will it still be able to be authorized? Will I have to send out emails to get it working? If I have any concerns why would I not just opt for a samp pluggin and not have to be concerned?

I do think waves dropped the ball, this isn't my only wavews product...I have gtr3.5 as well...not installed, dont like it much and the last install it was the only reason left to install my ilok...ilok not installed either. The point is this wasn't my first experience with them but for many it is and as big of a company as they are they should have been prepared for this overflow, very shortsighted imo. Face it this isn't about being grateful because this was a promotional deal, one that through no fault of those blessed with this freebie showed a bad side of waves.

I'm not saying that they are a bad company, I'm not saying everything has issues...but they did drop the ball on this. Of course they will likely still make more new customers than they lose but still, there will be customers that will balk at waves from this day on. I'm not one of them, I'm a never say never guy...but one must respect the views of those who had their first impression of waves this weekend and are unhappy...freebie or not

Thread did quite well really, making it to page 11 before a war broke out , normally it is sooner but then this is about a free plugin :)

To be fair, I think Meffy averted an early battle by deleting my earlier post.

Your stupid, irrelevant suggestion - ok? - is equivalent to insisting on a "being clever" scheme or "get one over on them" type of thing by virtue of what you assume I was talking about. It is irrelevant because no patron or future patron - as described by an advert of a company - should have to pull any such stunt to avoid being had. Do you get it yet?? Is anybody home? Irrelevant anyway as it is not what I am talking about in this thread.
I really have no clue how to address this when your argument against my pointing out both syntax and semantics not being on your side is to come up with an argument based on something that took place in your head rather than in forum posts?
audiovet wrote:ok coward, appeal to "authority" - noted.
"Coward"? It has little to do with cowardice - I will not lower myself to your level and throw insults in place of reasoned argument. The forum has rules - you have to follow them. Simple as that, so don't ignore them.
audiovet wrote:Ok, then take the word "lame" at face value. lol what else can I tell you?
Taking a word at face value without context is meaningless. Perhaps you might give more thought to what you say before you say it.
